A Century of Stop-Motion Animation

Well Ray is sure a busy man he has a new book coming out this September! the 30th to be exact. This new one follows along the lines of his 2 previous books from writer Tony Dalton and we all know that the first 2 were an awesome read. From the looks of it the book looks at the history of stop motion animation thru Ray's eyes, it does not seem to concentrate on his work in films but rather at art form as a whole. Still a great addition to any Harryhausen fan if his name is on it then its a gem! Reserve it now!!

One amazing Kit.

For you all collectors out there this is probably one of the most amazing kits I have seen from renown sculptor Joe Laudati. It portrays 3 of Ray's more enduring and fantastic creations, 2 Cyclopes fighting it out with the Dragon! If you are interested in this kit here is Joe's personal website for more information.

New layout and new Ray Interview.

The new front page site layout has been uploaded, the rest of the pages will be uploaded as I re-design them so I apologize for the inconsistent page design. The first full section that is complete is the page for my favorite harryhausen film "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" I've added an actors page and a behind the scenes look at the film itself so check it out!...I will keep the site as updated as I can in the coming days to keep it fresh and new. In the mean time looks like Ray is still as active as ever, recently IGN.com was able to speak with the stop-motion legend, the actual interview was done by Tony Dalton at the Edinburgh Film Festival whom has written 2 books for Ray (An Animated life and The Art of Ray Harryhausen). Its a very short interview but as interesting as usual, click on the this link to check it out, http://movies.ign.com/articles/884/884833p1.html.
